Description

A depiction of an NCO of a panzergrenadier unit in early 1944. Pemsel's unit- 59th Pz.Grn. reg, 20th Panzer division- was sent to rumania to refit after nearly three years of continual fighting. During this time, Richard was awarded the Iron Cross 1st class to supplement the Iron Cross 2nd class he won in France.
